What is the best Christmas Tree for my family??
Fraser Fir: Native to the Great Smoky Mountains, Fraser Fir's have soft 3/4 inch emerald green needles that have a silver underside. This beautiful tree has excellent needle retention, limiting the need for constant clean up.
Canaan Fir: A variation of Balsam Fir, but with longer needles about 1 inch in length. Their unique needles are very attractive, adding an extra element of festivity to your home.
Concolor Fir: Also known as White Fir, Concolor Fir's are a very popular West Coast Christmas Tree. Concolor Fir's have a beautiful silvery-blue foliage with needles 2 - 3 inches in length and has great needle retention. They also have a very distinctive citrus aroma that will fill your home.
Tips for Christmas Tree Care:
- Make sure to place your tree in a water-holding stand as soon as possible
- Use warm water for the first fill in the stand.
- Always maintain an adequate water level in the stand. Check daily!
- Make sure to set your tree up away from any heat sources. Frequently check electrical devices like lights and other decorations.
- Avoid spraying preservatives or fire retardants on tree. Some of these products actually increase moisture loss.
- Use a tree bag for easy clean up.
